Hi, I'm Lynn Hammel with Barrels Iowa from

Raw Honey for Sale
More info

We started building rain barrels back in 2012 as a home project
Now we custom build and install rain barrels for your home.
A lot has changed in the twelve years.

All the parts are replaceable - so if something breaks,  we just replace the part.
I grew up on a farm, so I learned about hard work and doing your best.

It would be a privilege to custom build and install rain barrels for your home.
We can provide you with a quote to send in for the city rebate.

We have received seventeen 5 star reviews.
Thanks for your time.  Have a great day!

FAQ:
How much rainwater can I collect from my roof?
Take the Square Foot (SF) and multiply that by .623.  The SF is length times width.  Formula would be Length x Width X .623 = Gallons of water.   250SF would be 25x10x.623=155.75gallon

Where should I place my rain barrels?
I would recommend  put them close to where you will use the rain water, but make sure the water level is higher than where you will be watering or invest in a pump.   We catch rain from about 500 SF of the roof from two of downspouts.

How much does 55 gallons of water weigh?
About 459 pounds plus the weigh of the barrel and cinder blocks so about 500 pounds per barrel.

What do you use for a stand?
We use 8x8x16 cinder blocks and four to each rain barrel.

How does the diverter work?
See diagram and video below.  There is an easy access door that allows you to clean out the diverter.
We recommend keeping the gutters and downspout clear of debris.
